Behind the Dutch brand Happy Rainy Days are 2 cheerful women. While cycling through Amsterdam in rainy weather, they could not find fabulous AND functional rainwear. So they decided to take the plunge and start designing the ultimate raincoat for cycling. The Happy Rainy Days brand was born and was successfully introduced in 2008.
Fit: Normal-Large. Buy your own size, but if you're doubting between sizes, go for the smaller size.
Note: This raincoat is worn like any other jacket, over other clothes (sweater, pants), but not over another jacket. The coat has a lining.
How should I measure?
Chest: We measure our coats flat on a table from armpit to armpit and this times 2.
Waist: We measure our coats flat on a table from waist to waist and this times 2. The narrowest part of the jacket and about 3 cm above the hipbone.
Hip: We measure our coats flat on a table from hip to hip and this times 2 (the widest part of the hip).
Sleeve: We measure our coats flat on a table from the shoulder seam vertically down to the end of the sleeve.
Length: We measure our coats flat on a table from the bottom of the collar vertically downwards (from top of the back from upper "lump" vertebra vertically down).
- Hang to dry after use, so that the coat is fully dry before you store it away so the coating does not wear off.
- Wash at 30 degrees
- Never use fabric softener
- Best to wash with ‘Outdoorwash’ or another detergent that ensures the jacket remains waterproof and breathable
- Do not tumble dry
- Wash inside out for colour retention
